Handbags and Glad Rags
Handbags and Glad Rags is a group for the women
of Poole Forum.
The group meets once every month at the Poole Forum shop. Each month we talk about things, which we think are interesting. Things like relationships, friendships, and boyfriends and girlfriends.
Sometimes, people come to talk to us about things like first aid, fire safety and health. We’ve even had our nails done and been bowling with the
Knights of Poole.
We decide what we do !

“Hi, I am a member of the Handbags and
Glad Rags group. It was a lot of fun last night. We went for a meal.
“We have a laugh at the group and sometimes we have visitors to come and talk to the Group.”

“It was good to catch up with people and hear what they have been up to.
“We talked about International Women’s Day. We have been asked to run a stall at Poole Stadium on 8th March.
“We also talked about some money Poole Forum has been given to make a DVD about sex and relationships. We shared our ideas about what we would like in the film. We looked at a Dorset People First booklet for some ideas.”
