Changing Places petition
Poole Forum members have been busy collecting nearly 2000 signatures from the people of Poole.
This is for Mencap’s Changing Places campaign.
We want Poole to have a Changing Places toilet. This is a large toilet, which is bigger than a usual disabled toilet. It is big enough to have a hoist, a bench and room for two carers to fit in, as well.
Without a changing places toilet, people either have to be changed on a toilet floor or they have to stay
at home.
Poole Forum has had a stand in the Dolphin
Shopping Centre. We collected hundreds of signatures and told people all about Poole Forum and the things we do.
On Tuesday 15th September we presented the petition to Poole Council.
The Council agreed to talk about it at another time. We will make sure that this happens !

Using Facebook safely

Poole Forum had a stand in the
Dolphin Shopping Centre all day on

Down Syndrome awareness.
